ANTHONY BY LUELLA VARNEY THAT HAS BEEN ON LOAN TO THE MONROE COUNTY HALL OF JUSTICE WAS CLEANED AND CONSERVED AT THE EXPENSE OF THE BORROWER, AND RELOCATED TO A PLACE OF HONOR OUTSIDE THE NEWLY DESIGNATED, "SUSAN B. ANTHONY COURTROOM," BRINGING JUSTICES, LAWYERS, AND DIGNITARIES FROM ACROSS THE STATE FOR THE CELEBRATION. A SMALL PLASTER SCULPTURE FROM THE 1890'S OF A SEATED SUSAN B. ANTHONY, SIGNED BY RENOWNED SCULPTOR BESSIE POTTER VONNOH, WAS RESTORED AND CONSERVED THROUGH THE BANK OF AMERICA ART CONSERVATION PROJECT, AN INTERNATIONAL INITIATIVE. SUSAN B. ANTHONY'S CRYSTAL INKWELL TRAVELED WITH THE PRESIDENT & CEO TO CHICAGO, IL, SACRAMENTO, CA, AND LOUISVILLE, KY, FOR INTERPRETIVE EVENTS.
- #2 $54KSPECIAL INITIATIVES. THE ANTHONY MUSEUM REGULARLY PARTNERS WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS IN THE ARTS AND CULTURE SECTOR TO EXPAND OUR AUDIENCE REACH AND IMPACT. WE WERE INVITED BY "EMPOWERED WITH MEG RYAN," TO BE FEATURED AS A SYNDICATED PBS SHORT PROGRAM WHICH WILL BE AIRED THROUGH DECEMBER 2026. WITH THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WOMEN'S CAUCUS FOR ART (NCWCA), WE CO-SPONSORED A PANEL AND JURIED ART EXHIBIT AT THE ARC GALLERY IN SAN FRANCISCO RELATED TO THE EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT CALLED "ACCESS: AN ORDINARY NOTION." LOCALLY, WE OFFERED TWO LECTURES FOR CORNHILL NAVIGATION ABOUT THE INTERSECTION OF WOMEN'S HISTORY, THE ERIE CANAL, AND THE GENESEE RIVER. WE PRESENTED LECTURES OFF-SITE FOR HISTORICAL ASSOCIATIONS AND LIBRARIES ABOUT SUSAN B. ANTHONY'S LIFE AT HOME, ABOLITION, AND HER CONNECTIONS TO OTHER PROMINENT HISTORIC FIGURES. IN ITS FIRST YEAR AS AN EARLY VOTING SITE, THE MUSEUM WELCOMED 6,250 VOTERS. THE MUSEUM CONTINUES TO FUNDRAISE FOR A CAMPUS EXPANSION WHICH FEATURES A NEW BUILDING WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF THE CURRENT CAMPUS. THE MUSEUM'S VISITOR CAPACITY WILL INCREASE BY 600%, FROM 35PPL/HOUR TO MORE THAN 210PPL/HOUR. THE NEW EXHIBIT AREAS WILL BE IMMERSIVE, EXPERIENTIAL, AND SELF-GUIDED. PROPERTY HAS BEEN ACQUIRED, AND OVER $16.5 MILLION HAS BEEN RAISED TOWARD THE GOAL OF $25 MILLION. FINAL CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS ARE IN PROCESS. GROUNDBREAKING WILL BEGIN AS SOON AS FUNDS HAVE BEEN RAISED.
