How they approach the work

Named approaches extracted from this org’s sources. Where others share an approach, follow it to see the full set of orgs running it.

  • Adaptive, Individualized Practice Design
    methodology: individualized_practice
By tailoring yoga, qigong, and mindfulness instruction to individual needs and states, the organization enhances personal growth and well-being because adaptive, formless, or personalized practices allow for deeper resonance and integration than rigid, standardized formats.
  • Conflict Transformation Through Embodied Peace Principles
    methodology: conflict-transformation
By applying Aikido and cross-traditional wisdom to high-tension situations, the organization fosters nonviolent conflict resolution because redirecting energy through compassion and harmony—rather than opposition—transforms confrontations into opportunities for connection.
  • Integrated Mind-Body-Spirit Practice
    methodology: integrated_spiritual_practice
By integrating martial arts, meditation, yoga, and cross-traditional spiritual principles, the organization supports personal well-being and daily functioning because embodied, holistic disciplines cultivate inner peace, self-awareness, and prosocial behavior that extend beyond the practice space.
  • Mindful Daily Engagement for Personal and Social Change
    methodology: mindful-daily-decisions
By focusing on mindful, prosocial decisions in routine activities rather than large-scale actions, individuals cultivate personal happiness and contribute to societal peace because small, intentional choices build sustainable awareness and compassionate behavior over time.
  • Mindfulness-Based Systems Approach to Health and Well-Being
    methodology: systems-thinking
By treating health conditions like obesity as signals of systemic imbalance rather than individual failure, the organization promotes sustainable change through mindfulness, intuitive eating, and holistic awareness because addressing interconnected factors—mind, body, food, relationships, and environment—leads to deeper, lasting transformation.
