ENVISIONED IN RESPONSE TO THE UNIQUE CHALLENGES FACING PROVIDERS IN TEXAS, THIS INITIATIVE EQUIPS CLINICIANS WITH CLEAR, LEGALLY INFORMED GUIDANCE ON MANAGING PREGNANCY-RELATED EMERGENCIES, INCLUDING MISCARRIAGE, ECTOPIC PREGNANCY, AND POST-ABORTION CARE. BY COLLABORATING WITH LAWYERS WHO ARE EXPERTS IN THIS SPACE, THE PROGRAM ENSURES THAT EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS UNDERSTAND HOW TO DELIVER SAFE, TIMELY, AND COMPLIANT CARE, MINIMIZING HARM TO PATIENTS AND PROTECTING CLINICIANS IN COMPLEX LEGAL ENVIRONMENTS. IN 2025, THIS PROGRAM SUPPORTED OVER 1500 PHYSICIANS AND INCREASED THEIR CONFIDENCE OF LEGAL AND SAFE CARE FOR PATIENTS EXPERIENCING FIRST TRIMESTER PREGNANCY EMERGENCIES.
- #2 $84KMEDICAL STUDENT EDUCATION AND PHYSICIAN MENTORSHIP - IN 2025 WE HELD THE FIRST COHORT OF OUR CHAMPIONS OF CHANGE PROGRAM, A PROGRAM FOR MEDICAL STUDENTS INTERESTED IN BECOMING CHANGEMAKERS IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH. OVER 100 STUDENTS IN 17 DIFFERENT STATES PARTICIPATED AND GAINED SKILLS TO ADVOCATE FOR THEIR PATIENT'S HEALTHCARE NEEDS. WE ALSO PARTNERED WITH WOMEN IN MEDICINE TO CO-HOST THE POWER OF WOMEN IN MEDICINE SUMMIT HELD IN SEPTEMBER 2025. TOGETHER, WE PROVIDED ATTENDEES WITH ACTIONABLE STRATEGIES, MENTORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES, AND A PLATFORM TO DRIVE SYSTEMATIC CHANGE IN HEALTHCARE.
