The Company has favorable reviews from the NY Times, Houston Chronical and Queens Tribune among others for its stories including "Boda Mexicana and its most current production "Puebla: The Story of Cinco de Mayo." which received the National Dance Project award from the New England Foundation for the Arts. - #2 $0Community Outreach:As an extension of its arts-in-education services, Calpulli Mexican Dance Company created "Calpulli Community" in 2006 as a response to requests to provide continual access to the organizaions's expertise in the performings arts. With the same programming in New York and New Jersey that improve the lives of people, especially young students, through the power of the arts. Now, over 200 students at 5 different sites, each week learn about Mexican traditions in dance and music culminating with performances and events.
