Exams are administered remotely via Zoom, in person in Lake Placid, NY, or at WFS events, with performance graded at three levels: Encouraging, Competitive, and World Class.
- Offers live online and in-person skating instruction and classesProvides year-round live online interactive classes in figure and fancy skating, offered three times per week and accessible globally, as well as in-person instruction opportunities during events. Classes include technique training, creative figure design, and skating history, with remote delivery via Zoom and other platforms.
- Organizes and hosts the World Figure & Fancy Skating ChampionshipsProduces and hosts the annual World Figure & Fancy Skating Championships on black ice, including a 5-day event schedule with Ladies and Men’s division finals for Creative Artworks and Fancy Skating, and operates as the sole world governing body for the sport. The event has been held for 12 consecutive years as of 2026, with origins tracing back to the inaugural championship in 2015.
